Most Foundation projects take three to six months, from start to completion. During the time the project is ongoing, SMEs may expect to dedicate two to eight hours per week. This may include working independently, as well as collaborating with others and participating in conference calls. In addition, SMEs can expect attending one to two face-to-face meetings (with expenses paid by The Appraisal Foundation). Given these expectations, are there any time constraints/conflicts that would affect your service as a SME?

SME members will be reimbursed for travel expenses associated with this project according to the reimbursement policies of The Appraisal Foundation. However, SME members will not be compensated for their time in the form of an hourly rate.

The mission of The Appraisal Foundation is to promote professionalism in valuation through the promulgation of professional appraisal performance standards and minimum appraiser qualification criteria. If chosen to participate as a SME, I will participate in an objective and unbiased manner so as to support this mission and help promote the goals of the Foundation.
